Stephanie Lai

My name is Stephanie Lai and I’m a digital content developer living in the Greater Toronto Area. This is my online portfolio.

In the summer of 2011, I made the decision to cease my university studies and apply to Journalism at Sheridan College after finding a passion in writing blogs. Before that, I was studying Music and Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University.

I am first and foremost a cellist. Thanks to intense classical training, I developed a work ethic that made me successful at Sheridan.

Since then, I’ve gotten my ass kicked in what I would call “News Writing 101,” been News and Features editor – on separate occasions – for our student paper The Sheridan Sun and have grown significantly as a writer and journalist.

I’ve held positions as intern and assistant content editor, and am the former editor of Interrobang at Fanshawe College. (Read my work here)

I am currently an independent contractor for Nelson Education. I am part of a new team that works the company’s Edwin product, which is changing the landscape of education.
